A Superior Sunrise

The group has breakfast at the motel and head out to the cars. Their first adventure takes them to a hike up a large hill. At the top they overlook Lake Superior. They all take pictures on the peak with the sunrise. Mara and Autumn take more pictures of the group together and talk on some of the large bolders. Ira left to the edge of the peak and called Kali, he also sent her some pictures of the group. Quinn and Erick talked and joke, while Reid and Sofia sat together overlooking the lake. They all have a short lunch before heading back down to the vehicles.
A little after none the group arrives at Black Rocks just outside of Marquette. They drive down a scenic round around a densely forested peninsula. They part the cars just off the road after changing into swimming clothes. Walking along large outcroppings and cliffs until they reach a small cove. There the group saw a crowed of people in a line. As they neared the edge people in the crowd began jumping off into the clear waters below. The group found an opening and put down their things. Ira and Reid were the first to jump off the cliffs into the ice cold waters of Lake Superior. Autumn followed after the other two resurfaced. Erick and Quinn jumped together as the first three began to climb up the cliffs. Unaware of the cold both Erick and Quinn were shocked when they hit the water. Erick swam to the cliff wall as fast as he could. Quinn was so cold and shocked that his muscles locked up. He was slow to join Erick. Neither could find their way up or out of the water. A splash near them sent water drops onto them. As Reid and Ira pointed to a small ledge. The two got out of the water as Sofia help the two climb up a crack in the cliffs wall. Once the three were all back Mara and Autumn jumped one last time, however they followed the cliff wall down to the rocky beach because the faster path was too wet.
As the group began to pack up do to the crowd growing, Erick said to Quinn, "You ok little buddy?" Quinn stood up and took his towel off his shoulders, "No, I almost died. You guys are insane!" Erick laughed, " How was I supposed to know, I've never been her before." Quinn hit Erick with his towel and chaced him for a little until he stopped out of breath. When the group got up to him, Quinn looked at Ira who was trying not to laugh. "You, why didn't you tell us the water was so cold?" Reid looked over to them, "We thought it would be fun to see your reactions." Reid began to laugh as he and Sofia walked ahead. Quinn asked Ira, "How are you all not freezing?" Ira smiled and said, "We're just built different." Autumn and Mara came running up to the group. The wind began to pick up as they all returned to the cars.
They left the peninsula and saw the waves crashing against the shoreline as the entered town. They ate dinner at a Aztec restaurant before returning to the motel. Later that night they had a quiet party down at the pool. Reid and Sofia were the first to return to their room. Mara was the next to leave do to a headache, Quinn went with her. The others stayed out until one in the morning before returning to their rooms.
The next morning they had a small breakfast and packed everything back into the cars. They arrived to Munising later that day. They hiked through Pictured Rocks and spent the rest of the day at a few beaches. They found some underwater caves but didn't go in them do to the unpredictable lake. However, Ira found a place to jump off from. It was only ten feet from the water and the water was not that deep so he and a few of the others only jump a few times. They stayed for a few more minutes until returning to the cars. They spent the rest of the day and some of the night driving to Reids uncles cabin. Over the radio a report came that the two campers had been found. However, no information would be released until further investigation.
Once at the cabin they would spend a few days and return to Iras house for the going away and graduation party. They arrived to the cabin in the early morning hours. At the door Reid noticed claw and bite marks on the wooden door and frame. Sofia asked, "What could have done that?" Reid replied, "Probably just a racoon trying to get in." Once inside Reid got the power going and showed everyone to their rooms.
